Shaikh Khalil-ur-Rahman Sajjad Nomani is a prominent Indian Islamic scholar, spiritual leader, author, founder of many educational institutions, chief editor of Al-Furqan, a leading Islamic magazine in Urdu, being published regularly since 1933. An alumnus of premier Islamic and modern educational institutes, he is well versed in both classical Islamic learning and modern disciplines. Shaikh Khalil-ur-Rahman is known for his interest in inter-faith dialogue and a special invitee to inter-religious conferences, within and outside the country. He is a visiting faculty of many local and foreign universities
He is a qualified spiritual guide, authorized by more than one Mashayakh of Chisti and Naqshbandi Mujaddidi school of Sufism to carry out spiritual guidance. Thousands of people flock to his spiritual center and thousands of others log on to the internet to listen to his live speeches. He has delivered speeches at many important places such as UnitedNations Organization (U.S.), University of Leeds (U.K.), and Stanford University(U.S), Fatih University (Turkey).

Shaikh Khalil Al-Rahman is the youngest child of his parents. He was born in 1955 at Lucknow, an important city in the state of UP in north India, famous for its educational institutions and cultural heritage. He opened his eyes in a highly scholarly environment. His father and Shaikh Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi, a famous Islamic scholar and historian were pivotal in his training and education.
He received his initial education from his illustrious father and formal education from renowned Islamic seminaries like Nadwat Ul-Ulama and Darul-Uloom Deoband. He went to Saudi Arabia to pursue further studies. He attended Madina University and was awarded a doctorate in Quranic Studies
This institution was established in 1995 at the behest of Qari Siddique Bandhvi, a well known Indian Islamic scholar and a champion of the poor and downtrodden. It was established to help the poor, orphans, widows, and the oppressed.
